The Santosha School of Yoga

What does Santosha mean?

Santosha – is a Sanskrit word taken from the third limb of Yoga (Niyama) and in English translates as contentment.   Contentment can be described having peace with what is; accepting ones’ life as it is in the moment.. Santosha is also a practice of gratitude and peacefulness. True contentment comes from within—Satisfaction, Calm, happiness, ease,  and pleasure are all elements of true contentment

Description of the Teacher Training Program:

The Program at the Santosha School of Yoga provides a traditional curriculum and course of study. Our program meets the requirements of the National Yoga Alliance.  In addition to meeting these standards we also work closely with each student to enhance their experience throughout the training by offering independent study work, sharing circles and partner work. The program also emphasizes immersing ones self into a daily yoga, pranayama, and meditation practice.   Anyone interested in yoga may enroll. However,  if you have not done yoga you will be required to take a minimum of 6 months of yoga classes to prepare for the course and you will be required to take an verbal entrance exam and write and essay explaining way you wish to teach yoga.
